Job Summary
Deliver loads of feed as assigned by the dispatcher while providing courteous, quality-conscious customer service. Perform daily pre-trip and weekly truck/trailer inspections, reporting maintenance concerns to the Transportation Supervisor. Maintain the logbook, keep the tractor/trailer unit clean and organized in all weather conditions, and complete all paperwork per business requirements. Operate in extreme temperatures ranging from +40 to -40 degrees Celsius on rotating shifts that include weekends and holidays. Requires a valid Class 1 Driver's License with at least one year of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application
- Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a favorable Driver's Abstract
- at least 1 year behind the wheel with a Class 1 license
- 3–5 years of truck/trailer experience
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Must meet the security criteria designated for the position
- Operating in extreme temperatures ranging from +40 to -40 degrees Celsius
