Job Summary
Class 1 Driver based in Acheson, AB, delivering tires and automotive accessories across Alberta (including Edmonton area) with some overnight trips to British Columbia. Full-time with benefits. Responsibilities include pre/post trip inspections, operating an Electric Logging Device (ELD) in compliance with hours of service, loading/unloading tires, delivering across British Columbia (Vancouver Island) with some overnight shifts, and maintaining positive relationships with Kal Tire team members. Requires a clean Class 1 license, a minimum of 2 years of Class 1 experience, wide load/heavy haul experience, ability to communicate in English, basic mechanical knowledge, and prior chain-up experience. Must be physically capable of lifting/moving tires and able to drive long distances; shift rotations include some Sunday starts. Includes comprehensive benefits and opportunities for development.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 license
- Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience
- Wide load and/or heavy haul experience
- English communication (verbal and written)
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Prior chain-up experience
- Ability to lift and maneuver tires
- Long-distance driving experience
