Job Summary
Safely operate Class 1 tractor-trailer units and other company vehicles to load, secure, transport, and offload equipment in accordance with transportation regulations. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, complete daily logbooks and shipping documentation, and ensure cargo remains properly secured throughout transit. Assist with loading/unloading using hand tools, maintain equipment cleanliness, and report any defects or maintenance concerns immediately. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and National Safety Code requirements while supporting Fleet and Operations personnel in logistics activities. Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence with Air Brake Endorsement required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence with Air Brake Endorsement
- Clean driver's abstract and strong safety record
- Experience operating heavy fleet tractor and trailer combinations
- Knowledge of load securement requirements and transportation regulations
- Ability to complete vehicle inspections and transportation documentation accurately
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift, load, and handle equipment and supplies safely
