Job Summary
Conduct spill cleanup, line flushing, power washing, water hauling, and loading/hauling of fluids in industrial settings. Safely operate vacuum equipment while performing daily pre-trips, driver logs, and minor maintenance. Maintain accurate documentation for NSC compliance and environmental standards. Participate in safety meetings, near miss reporting, and job hazard assessments. Represent GFL professionally to clients and manage time independently. Willing to accept after-hour calls when necessary. Requires Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brakes; Class 1 is an asset. Must have 6 months of industrial vacuum truck experience and flexible availability.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 months of Industrial Vacuum Truck experience
- Combo Vac, Water Truck or High-Pressure Units
- Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brakes
- fairly clean Commercial Drivers Abstract
- Class 1 Driver's License
- Must be able to operate manual transmission
- Must have flexible availability
- Ability to travel out of town
- Valid safety tickets such as First Aid/CPR, Construction Safety Training (CSTS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and H2S Alive
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Safety-focused attitude with experience working in an industrial setting
- Knowledge to perform minor maintenance on units to maintain efficient operation
- Possesses cleanliness and organizational skills
- Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned
- Willing to accept after-hour calls when necessary
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
Desired Qualifications
- Class 1 Driver's License would be an asset
- Valid safety tickets such as First Aid/CPR, Construction Safety Training (CSTS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and H2S Alive are considered an asset
