Job Summary
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join SNF Psychiatry team in Idaho and Washington. Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to geriatric residents in Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care facilities; assess mental status, diagnose DSM-V disorders, develop treatment plans, and apply psychopharmacology and non-pharmacological treatments. Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists. Requires licensure in ID and WA (psychiatry focus) and DEA for prescribing controlled substances; 1 year geriatric psych experience; 1 year in SNFs/acute rehab. Required Qualifications
- Licensed in Idaho and Washington by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry
- Licensed by the Idaho and Washington Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (DEA)
- 1 year of Geri Psych Experience
- 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals
- Basic computer knowledge
- Excellent written communication
- Attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Flexible, organized, and functions under stressful situations
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
