Job Summary
Clamp Truck Operators unload paper rolls from trucks and railcars, stack roll stock, and load rolls into industrial machines. Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced setting with a strong emphasis on safety. Primary duties include loading/unloading production machines, trailers, and railcars using onboard computers (Thors), performing safety inspections for trailers and docks, applying appropriate PPE, and maintaining organized workspaces. Must follow safety rules, participate in the plant's safety culture, and communicate product quality issues to supervisors. Requires at least 2 years of experience operating a power industrial machine (PIT) and ability to read shipping tags and manifests; familiarity with paper mill or corrugated facilities is strongly preferred. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating a power industrial machine (PIT)
- Knowledge of scanning systems
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English
- Ability to read materials to understand and apply content (manuals, procedures)
- Understanding of how to read shipping tags and manifests
- Able to perform basic math
- Ability to sit/drive continuously with occasional movement
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Ability to work in hot or cold environments
- Experience with inventory software preferred
