Job Summary
Oversee NY Workers’ Compensation claims from intake through resolution; act as liaison between insureds, carriers, brokers, and defense counsel; review claims for compensability, reserves, strategy, and settlement opportunities; track diaries, deadlines, hearings, and Board requirements; ensure compliance with New York Workers’ Compensation regulations and timelines; follow up on open action items and NODs; coordinate light duty and return-to-work efforts; prepare and manage claim-related documentation and forms; conduct claim reviews with clients and internal stakeholders; assist with Commercial Auto and Property-related claims as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Adjuster License
- 2+ years of New York Workers’ Compensation claims experience
- Strong understanding of NY Workers’ Compensation law and procedures
- Experience handling litigated claims and settlements
- Familiarity with Section 32 settlements and Medicare Set-Asides preferred
