Job Summary
The AICK Claims Specialist will administer, review, and adjudicate all types of claims for products including Waiver of Premium, Term Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Living Benefit Rider, Ordinary Life, Yearly Renewable Term, and all Voluntary Life and ADED coverage; will investigate complex or questionable claims, coordinate with employers, hospitals, reinsurers, and regulators, ensure regulatory compliance (ERISA, NAIC), manage the claims lifecycle from review through payment or denial, support contract updates and product development, and participate on Ad Hoc teams; this role may work hybrid or onsite per telecommuting policy. Knowledge/skills include analytical decision-making on contract provisions, excellent written and verbal communication, ERISA/FICA familiarity, and math aptitude.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Licensed Practical Nurse, Certified Nurses Aid or Certified Medical Aid license required
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a professional, clinical, or as a medical office coordinator with billing experience required
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working with Kansas Department of Insurance regulations for life and/or disability products preferred
