Job Summary
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to chart the best course for resolving cyber incidents and evaluate coverage for claims. Draft coverage letters, manage exposure for cyber incidents including ransomware and business interruption, and evaluate and proactively set reserves. Build strong relationships with brokers and insureds while acting as a trusted advisor for underwriting and risk functions regarding claims trends. Report on significant claims to management and foster feedback loops with underwriting and security teams to improve products and automated underwriting engines. Focus on continuous improvement from a claims perspective.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of insurance claims-handling experience
- at least 30% of the claims you currently handle are in cyber insurance
- Licensed claims adjuster
- College degree or equivalent experience/education
Desired Qualifications
- good to have licenses in multiple states
- willingness to obtain more licenses
- Insurance practice experience as a paralegal
