Job Summary
Gather evidence and document claims facts, determine the value of damaged items, and negotiate settlements with clients or third parties. Explain insurance policy coverage, resolve claims by paying or denying them, and communicate with physicians, attorneys, and contractors to ensure prompt, fair, and courteous outcomes. Occasionally defend policyholders in court or recover outstanding dollars. This in-office position at Westshore Corporate Center in Tampa, FL requires 1-5 years of experience in auto or general liability claims and a four-year degree.
Required Qualifications
- Current pursuing, or have obtained a four-year degree
- 1-5 years' experience in handling auto or general liability claims
- Strong analytical, computer, and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer
- Federated will not sponsor candidates for employment visa status, such as an H1-B visa
- Federated does not interview or hire students or recent graduates with J-1 or F-1 visas or similar temporary work authorization
- This is an in-office position
