Job Summary
Subrogation Claims Representative II manages complex recovery efforts by reviewing, adjudicating and collecting on subrogation matters with third parties or insurers; responsibilities include investigating and reserving, negotiating settlements, directing civil actions, drafting pleadings and supporting court proceedings, coordinating discovery and settlement meetings, and providing claims support to Claims Operations. The role requires strong communication, client engagement, critical thinking, and relationship-building, with travel occasionally and a requirement for a university/college degree and CIP designation; provincial adjuster license may be required depending on location. Hybrid work model with 2 days in office is expected in the listed Canadian cities.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years successful related claims handling experience or related business experience
- Chartered Insurance Professionals (CIP) designation
- Advanced knowledge of policy wordings, legislation, regulations and construction practices
- Provincial adjuster license(s) maybe required dependent on the province of work
- University/College Degree
