Job Summary

Investigate, interpret coverage, reserve adequately, negotiate, and settle automobile accident benefit claims while actively participating with claimants, physicians, and service providers to develop case management plans. Handle files in defense litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), set up and maintain assigned claim files, and authorize payments and reserves up to $75,000. Provide quality client service in accordance with standards, contribute to client engagement philosophies, and travel regularly using your own vehicle. Extended work hours, including weekends, may be required. One year of insurance experience or two years of related work experience is needed, along with a university degree and working towards Chartered Insurance Professional courses.

Required Qualifications

  • One (1) year insurance experience or two (2) years of related work experience
  • Working towards Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses
  • Well developed computer skills in Microsoft Office software, internet, email systems
  • Provincial adjuster license(s)
  • University/College Degree
  • You will travel regularly
  • You are required to have your own vehicle, valid driver's license and insurance
  • Extended work hours, including weekends, may be required
  • You will be subject to a Background check as a condition of employment

Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
