Job Summary
Entry-level claims trainee role handling investigation, evaluation, and resolution of insurance claims under close supervision; after in-person training, role may offer hybrid work with up to 3 days remote per week. Requires Bachelor’s degree or direct equivalent experience in property/casualty claims handling; duties include studying policies, learning company procedures, developing claim-negotiation skills, interacting with claimants, and supporting agents and insureds. Includes path to obtain adjuster license as required by statute.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or direct equivalent experience with property/casualty claims handling
- Ability to organize data, multi-task and make decisions independently
- Above average communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to write reports and compose correspondence
- Ability to resolve complex issues
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security
- Ability to drive an automobile, possess a valid driver license, and maintain a driving record consistent with underwriting guidelines
