Claims Representative, Auto | Commercial Trucking

Job Summary
Analyze and process auto commercial trucking and transportation claims, including property damage and lower-level injury claims; assess damage, make payments, and code files per policy; develop action plans to meet state contract deadlines and move files toward prompt resolution; identify and pursue subrogation opportunities and secure salvage; communicate claim actions with insured, client, and broker; perform coverage, liability, and damage analyses on all claims; maintain professional client relations and apply knowledge of total loss forms, title requirements, and related expenses; and utilize property estimating software and Microsoft Office in a claims-management context. Education preferred includes a Bachelor's degree with required state adjusting licenses; three years of relevant claims experience; strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- State adjusting licenses as required for the position
- Three (3) years of personal line or commercial line property claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of construction basics
- Property estimating software experience a plus
- Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements
- Ability to review and assess property damage estimates, total loss evaluations, and related expenses
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
