Job Summary
Claims Property Team Manager leads homeowner claims unit activities, directing and coaching a team to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality customer service. Responsibilities include reviewing claim files, monitoring performance metrics, coaching employees, resolving customer service issues, and implementing staff development to support succession planning. The role requires partnership with unit management, participation in committees/projects, and ongoing knowledge of industry developments and best practices. Travel occasionally; a valid driver’s license and insurance requirements apply. Starting pay range: $99,500-$132,900; comprehensive benefits including health, retirement, tuition assistance, parental leave, and more.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-3 years Supervisory experience
- Valid Driver's License, acceptable DMV record and minimum liability insurance issued by state
- Advanced organizational, planning and delegation skills (as part of leadership role)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively lead change
- Knowledge of current industry practices in property claims handling (preferred)
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter - Insurance Institute of America (preferred)
- Associate in Claims - Insurance Institute of America (preferred)
