Job Summary
Represent the company professionally to internal and external customers while directing department performance and development. Ensure staff compliance with Workers' Compensation laws and mandated regulatory reporting by utilizing jurisdictional expertise and knowledge of governing statutes. Monitor operational workflow, manage staffing levels and retention strategies, and develop common claim practices and procedures. Direct the review and settlement of high-dollar claims beyond subordinate authority, promoting efficiency through continuous process improvement. Travel overnight and attend meetings as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and equivalent industry-related experience, with a record of steady advancement in Workers' Compensation claims administration
- Minimum of 6 years' comprehensive workers' compensation administration experience
- Minimum of 2 years' recent supervisory or management experience
- Current license or certification in Workers' Compensation must be maintained throughout employment with CorVel
- Ability to travel overnight and attend meetings
