Claims Management and Return to Work Coordinator

Job Summary

Liaise with provincial board officials to manage workers' compensation claims on a day-to-day basis and communicate directly with injured workers to facilitate recovery-at-work programs. Coordinate with regional branches to obtain modified duty positions, oversee claim reviews and appeals, and monitor claim statuses to ensure timely resolution. Collaborate with officials to develop strategies that prevent, reduce, and control workers' compensation claims while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of federal and provincial statutes. Research and prepare reports on workers' compensation issues, generate monthly compliance reports, and create confidential case files. Submit required documentation to legislative bodies and track near-miss incidents for statistical analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • strong knowledge of OH&S legislation and best practices
  • Ability to interpret and clearly explain regulatory requirements to stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and SharePoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • effective presentation abilities
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • a strong understanding of provincial OH&S regulations, or the ability and willingness to learn

Desired Qualifications

  • An additional certificate or diploma in OH&S
