Job Summary
Claims Intake Specialist in a fast-paced, high-volume Claims Department. Performs data entry of new First Reports of Injury, processes documents, provides limited claim information to customers, scans and organizes documents, supports claims adjusting staff with billing inquiries, coordinates with the bill review vendor, maintains records, and serves as back-up for department duties. Requires high school diploma or GED, 1-3 years related experience, strong communication and customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency with MS Office. Located in Albuquerque, NM; in-person role within New Mexico Mutual's office environment.
Required Qualifications

- 1-3 years directly related experience
- Fluency in oral and written communication
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive attitude and collaborative team player
- Organizational and prioritization ability
- Intermediate computer skills; ability to learn new applications
- Meet deadlines and respond to direction
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- General knowledge of payer-specific or medical billing; ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding helpful
