Job Summary
Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve low to moderate-complexity property claims in compliance with company guidelines. Conduct field and phone investigations to determine causation and damages, gather statements, interpret coverage, and communicate benefits and claims process to insureds and claimants. Maintain claim files using company systems (e.g., CACS, HUON, HOC), coordinate with internal/external departments, and provide independent analysis to distinguish allegations from facts. Requires travel for field duties and may participate in legal proceedings; strong Microsoft Office and claims software proficiency, plus solid oral/written communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4-6 years Prior claims handling experience
- 4-6 years Property claims administration experience (preferred)
- Valid Driver's License with acceptable DMV record
- An insurance/claims adjuster license may be required for claims administration in specific states
