Claims Executive - Commercial & Schemes

Claims Executive for Howden Commercial & Schemes in Colchester, responsible for a portfolio of commercial insurance claims from notification through settlement. Provides expert advice on policy coverage, investigates, evaluates and negotiates claims to achieve optimal outcomes, and builds relationships with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, legal representatives and other stakeholders. Supports clients after significant losses by attending client sites, developing robust claims strategies, and contributing to continuous improvement and risk mitigation through data analysis and reporting. Mentors junior colleagues and promotes best practice within the team; requires strong knowledge of commercial insurance policies, claims procedures, and excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills. This role offers hybrid working 2–3 days in the Colchester office per week.
