Job Summary
Claims Examiner to manage property and casualty claims from first notice of loss through final resolution, including property damage, auto liability, general liability, and workers’ compensation exposures. Responsible for reviewing policy coverage, evaluating damages, determining liability, establishing reserves and settlements, coordinating with TPAs and field personnel, investigating facts, negotiating settlements, maintaining documentation in claims systems, and providing responsive service to policyholders, brokers, and partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent insurance industry experience
- 2+ years of experience managing property and casualty claims
- Experience evaluating coverage, determining liability, and negotiating claim settlements
- Experience handling claims involving property damage, casualty, liability, or workers’ compensation exposures
- Proficiency with Xactimate
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace applications
- Ability to collaborate effectively with adjusters, TPAs, consultants, vendors, and technical specialists
