Claims Examiner - Auto - Commercial Trucking

Job Summary
Analyze and process complex auto claims for a large commercial trucking account by reviewing coverage, completing investigations, determining liability and evaluating the scope of damages. Coordinate vendor management and, when appropriate, use independent adjusters; report large claims to excess carriers; pursue subrogation and risk-transfer opportunities; secure and dispose of salvage; and communicate claim actions to insureds, clients, and brokers to move files toward prompt resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
- Professional certification applicable to the line of business preferred
- State adjusting licenses as required for the position
- Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent education and experience
- In-depth knowledge of commercial auto policies, coverage, principles, and laws
