Job Summary
Lead and manage bodily injury claim files from investigation through settlement, including DOT claims and pre-suit matters; serve as a technical resource to team members on complex claim matters; handle negotiatons with internal/external parties, prepare for depositions, trials and mediations, and collaborate with defense counsel to formulate defense strategies; oversee diary/reserving/coding processes and ensure appropriate settlements; requires 5+ years of complex claims experience in the transportation sector, a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), and state licensing where required; CPCU/AIC/AEI/ARM certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' complex claims experience
- Claims experience in transportation industry
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Maintain state licensing where required
- Excellent investigative skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze complex situations
- Ability to effectively manage multiple demands
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years' complex claims experience
- Claims certification preferred (AIC, AEI, ARM, CPCU)
