Job Summary
Proactively manage a portfolio of complex, high-value Retail Income Protection claims, ensuring every claim is assessed in line with policy terms, the Life Insurance Code of Practice, and legislative requirements. Deliver an exceptional customer experience by maintaining regular communication with claimants, advisers, and stakeholders while managing expectations and supporting positive health outcomes. Prioritize workloads and make sound claim decisions using strong analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment. This role operates within one of the largest claims teams in the business, balancing customer outcomes with commercial objectives. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to build trust during challenging circumstances and engage effectively with medical professionals. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience managing Life Insurance claims
- Ideally across Retail Income Protection, Total and Permanent Disability (TPD), or Group Insurance claims
- Demonstrated ability to build trust, rapport and empathy with customers during challenging circumstances
- Strong case management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise workloads and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Confidence in making sound claim decisions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to engage effectively with customers, advisers, medical professionals and other key stakeholders
- Ability to follow the principles set out in the Code of Conduct
- Eligibility for a role at TAL (demonstrated via Criminal History, Bankruptcy, Entitlement to Work, Regulatory and Reference Checks)
