Job Summary
Accept inbound and outbound calls, emails, and other communications regarding life insurance claims inquiries. Assist customers in completing forms, gathering documentation, and submitting claims for processing while updating and maintaining customer records. Review, verify, and process claim submissions against company policies and legal requirements, approving EFT payments or authorizing drafts for claims submitted via phone, fax, or internet. Collaborate with underwriting, legal, and compliance departments to handle complex claims efficiently. Meet performance targets related to claim resolution time, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Work in a hybrid environment with Monday through Thursday 9:00-5:00 PM and Friday 11:00-4:00 PM hours.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to high school degree
- Prior experience in customer service, claims processing, or a related field, ideally within the insurance industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing claims documents and processing information
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, claims management software, and other relevant tools
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
