Job Summary
Claims Associate role supporting Workers’ Compensation or Auto & General Liability desks. Responsibilities include receiving claim assignments, reviewing policy information, interviewing insureds and witnesses, evaluating liability, preparing investigation reports, reviewing progress with a Team Leader, identifying potential exposures, and settling claims. Role emphasizes structured onboarding, licensing support for adjuster exams, and development in a fast-paced insurance environment. Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience, proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook, and strong analytical and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent professional experience
- License: resident or designated home state adjuster’s license required for field claims adjusters; up to four months to pass the licensing exam
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Customer-focused mindset with urgency, responsiveness and conflict resolution skills
- Strong communication skills — able to listen effectively and express opinions and concerns diplomatically
