Job Summary
Claims Associate in Workers’ Compensation focusing on end-to-end claims lifecycle: intake and investigation through resolution and settlement. Responsibilities include reviewing claim and policy information, interviewing insureds, claimants, witnesses, physicians, attorneys, and police to secure information; evaluating findings to determine liability and company obligation; preparing reports on investigations, settlements, denials, and evaluations; coordinating with Team Leader on progress and proposing remedial actions; settling claims and obtaining releases or drafts; supporting trial preparation with attendance of witnesses and continued settlement efforts; administering benefits to minimize current and future exposure. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook; licensing support provided with up to four months to pass the adjuster licensing exam.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Customer-focused mindset with a sense of urgency and responsiveness
- Strong communication skills—able to listen effectively and express opinions and concerns diplomatically
- Licensing: an applicable resident or designated home state adjuster’s license is required for field claims adjusters; our customer supports independent self-study and allows up to four months to pass the adjuster licensing exam.
