Job Summary
Claims Associate handles intake, investigation, and settlement of Workers’ Compensation or Auto & General Liability claims; you’ll interview insureds, claimants, witnesses, and other parties, review policy information, evaluate liability, prepare investigation reports, monitor claim status with the Team Leader, escalate unusual exposures, settle claims when appropriate, obtain releases or proofs of loss, and assist with trial preparation. Licensing support is provided to pursue an adjuster license, and the role requires strong analytical, communication, and customer-focused skills plus proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Customer-focused mindset with a sense of urgency and responsiveness
- Strong communication skills—able to listen effectively and express opinions and concerns diplomatically with team members
- Licensing Note: An applicable resident or designated home state adjuster’s license is required for field claims adjusters. Our customer supports independent self-study and allows up to four months to pass the adjuster licensing exam.
