Job Summary
Auto Estimator/Claims Appraiser collects vehicle information from repair shops or customers and prepares initial and supplemental estimates via photos or in person, potentially meeting insureds to explain coverage and guide them through the claims process. Uses automated estimating systems to prepare repair estimates, provides technical support to claim handlers, evaluates bid content, vehicle damage and causation, and communicates with customers throughout the claims process. Role includes in-person inspections at auto shops and field work; remote work from home with a mobile office/vehicle, located in Windsor, CO, with travel as needed for inspections and office visits.
Required Qualifications
- Auto collision repair experience
- Auto damage estimating experience
- Auto insurance appraiser experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task across technical platforms
- I-CAR Platinum Certification (preferred)
- CCC One and/or Mitchell knowledge (preferred)
- Motor Vehicle Record checks and background checks as part of state requirements
