Job Summary
Remote, full-time Claims Agent to support veterans’ VA disability claims and appeals. Responsibilities include case management, client communication, records & evidence development, claims & appeals support, quality review, and administrative tasks. Must be eligible to become a VA-accredited Claims Agent and commit to passing the exam within one year of hire; must be eligible for a VA PIV Card within 90 days. Technologies used include Practice Panther, LexisNexis AI, ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Office, and Adobe. Preference for candidates in Florida. Schedule typically 40–45 hours per week with core hours 10am–2pm; remote work with independence and proactive case management valued.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to become a VA-accredited Claims Agent and commit to passing the Claims Agent exam within one year of hire
- Must obtain a VA PIV Card within 90 days of start date if required to access VA systems
- Proficiency with legal case management software (e.g., Practice Panther)
- Ability to learn or use LexisNexis AI, ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Office, and Adobe
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases and deadlines
- Ability to work remotely and autonomously with proactive case management
- Experience in legal/support roles such as paralegal, legal assistant, case manager, veteran service officer (preferred)
- Knowledge of VA disability, veterans benefits, Social Security disability, workers’ compensation, or administrative law is a plus
- Long-term commitment to building expertise in veterans benefits work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with military culture or veteran support systems is preferred
