Job Summary
Claims Advocate for Commercial Property and Inland Marine. Investigate and resolve Commercial Property and Inland Marine claims; determine coverage through policy terms; explain coverage to policyholders; manage claims, set customer expectations, perform exposure assessments, and facilitate fair settlements. Requires 2+ years claims handling experience (commercial property preferred), knowledge of claims processes and policy language, experience with Xactimate/XactContents preferred, and a Texas adjuster license with ability to obtain additional state licenses. Strong communication, analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills; customer-service oriented; team-oriented and collaborative; remote-work capability in the US.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of claims handling experience with a focus on commercial property claims preferred
- Knowledge of claims processes, policy language, and insurance industry practices preferred
- Experience with Xactimate and XactContents software highly preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills required
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills required
- Texas adjusters license required and ability to obtain additional states
- Desire and ability to collaborate with many departments and coworkers
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining high client satisfaction
