Job Summary
Investigate, evaluate and determine coverage and possible claim resolutions; determine need to retain outside counsel and manage claims/litigation to final resolution; negotiate with claimant/opposing counsel/third parties; participate in mediations and court appearances; review and approve invoices for costs and attorneys’ fees; act as network administrator for department attorney billing software; perform initial evaluation for recovery; handle recovery files from inception to completion; maintain documentation of claim file activity; evaluate and respond to clearance/curative demands.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years experience in title insurance or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Word, Outlook, & Excel
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
