Job Summary
Analyze mid- and higher-level workers compensation claims to determine benefits due and ensure ongoing adjudication within company standards. Manage long-term indemnity claims by determining compensability, monitoring reserve accuracy, and filing necessary documentation with state agencies. Develop action plans for resolution, coordinate return-to-work efforts, and approve claim payments while negotiating subrogation settlements. Communicate claim actions with claimants and clients, ensuring proper documentation and accurate coding. Process complex lifetime medical and defined period medical claims, including state and physician filings for treatment recommendations. Maintain professional client relationships while handling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines. Requires four years of claims management experience and home state licensing for MI, TX, IN, IL, or OH.
Required Qualifications
- Four (4) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Professional certification as applicable to line of business
- Jurisdiction Knowledge: MI, TX, IN, IL, OH
- Licensing: Home State Required
