Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile Claims Adjuster to join SafeLease’s claims department. The role handles a diverse portfolio including high-volume personal property contents within storage units, commercial property losses, commercial casualty liabilities, and specialized manufactured housing claims. Responsibilities include investigating, evaluating, and adjusting claims; negotiating fair settlements with claimants, adjusters, legal counsel, and third parties; processing payments and maintaining claim records; applying regulatory and company policy standards; and leveraging digital/documentation tools for remote desk-based adjusting. Ideal candidates have Commercial P&C claims experience, manufactured housing knowledge, personal property claim experience, a valid adjuster license, and proficiency with CMS, Google Workspace, and remote estimation tools.
Required Qualifications
- Active Adjuster License in good standing (or ability to quickly obtain reciprocal licensing)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry designations (e.g., AIC, SCLA) is preferred
- Experience in adjusting commercial property losses and commercial casualty/liability lines
- Experience with manufactured housing claims
- Experience adjusting high-volume personal property claims
- Proficiency with modern claims management systems (CMS), Google Workspace, digital estimating software, and remote on-line software tools
