Claims Adjuster II - Workers' Compensation

Job Summary
Analyze and resolve workers' compensation claims with established authority, identifying coverage issues, pursuing cost containment or subrogation opportunities, and ensuring timely, accurate file documentation. Responsibilities include communicating with policyholders, agents, claimants, attorneys, medical providers and supporting staff; applying statutes and regulatory concepts to resolve claims; directing independent adjusters and other service providers; and participating in departmental initiatives. Qualifications require a Bachelor’s degree (or AIC/CPCU parts) and mandatory adjuster licensing, plus 3+ years of claim technical experience. Travel for training and investigations is expected; proficiency in negotiation, organization, and interpersonal skills is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or completed AIC or completed 3 parts of CPCU
- Must be able to take and pass mandatory adjuster licensing requirements
- Must have 3 years or more of claim technical experience
- AIC/CPCU or other insurance-related course work is desired
