Job Summary
Investigate and manage the settlement of assigned claims, conducting on-site inspections and preparing comprehensive underwriting reports. Serve as the primary liaison between the Home Office and agency force by facilitating adjustments, ensuring timely communication with agents, and providing guidance on company policies. Uphold company standards for service and policy interpretation while maintaining strong customer relationships and complying with insurance contract terms. Regular and timely office attendance is required, with flexibility to work beyond standard hours or travel to other district offices as needed. The role involves working in varied conditions, including extreme temperatures and uneven surfaces, with the physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform thorough visual inspections.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with agents, insureds, and claimants via written correspondence, email, phone, and in person
- Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- A comprehensive and strong knowledge of policy language, insurance principles, and coverage details
- Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds, bend, stoop, crawl, climb ladders, and work at elevated heights
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods and conduct thorough visual inspections of insured property
- Flexibility to work beyond standard hours (40 hours per week or 5 days per week) and to travel to other district offices as needed
- Willingness and ability to work beyond standard business hours when required to meet business needs
- Regular and timely attendance in the office
Desired Qualifications
- College degree
- Completion of insurance-related courses
- General knowledge or aptitude in construction, agri-business, and/or automobile repair
