Job Summary
Be a visible presence across the campus to maintain an orderly and safe school environment for students and staff; perform all essential duties related to campus safety and security; investigate student behavior and discipline matters; write clear incident and disciplinary reports; manage detention, campus cleanup, and after-school interventions; work with the high school Police Student Resource Officer; participate in the school’s student behavior committee; diffuse tense situations with strong interpersonal skills; lock and unlock buildings daily; check I.D. badges; maintain records and use basic computer programs to enter timecards and respond to email; communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and administration; support after-school activities and programs; care for students with special needs; adapt to a multicultural and at-risk student environment; demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and professional conduct; preferred bilingual English/Spanish; AA or BA degree or equivalent is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must present transcripts of highest level of education within thirty (30) days of hire
- Must be able to pass a background check including fingerprinting
- Must have a valid Washington driver's license and personal transportation with appropriate automobile insurance
- Must attend training and maintain certifications as required
