Job Summary
Assist in leading custodial operations at Kamiakin High School on a swing shift. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and safety of the school facility, performing minor repairs not requiring a skilled tradesperson, overseeing housekeeping duties, completing timecards and work orders in the CMMS, coordinating with the Building Administrator, Custodial Lead, and Custodial Supervisor, and aiding in the development and execution of preventive maintenance schedules. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to work with students and staff, adherence to district policies, and the capacity to perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and operating custodial equipment. Swing shift adds a supplemental $0.20/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one year of previous and successful experience as a Building Custodian or equal experience
- Ability to operate computers to enter timecard information and work orders (CMMS)
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Ability to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must pass a background check including fingerprinting
- Must be physically able to perform heavy and sustained lifting and other physical tasks
- Must attend training and complete safety and district programs
