Job Summary
Paraeducator in a Tier III Autism Classroom providing direct and supervisory support to autistic students under the teacher’s direction. Duties include carrying out instructional tasks, data collection and documentation to monitor progress, assisting with toileting/diapering/food preparation as needed, and collaborating with the special education teacher, other paras, and specialists. Requires safe-school and background checks, CPI training, and completion of district policies. Position is part-time (6.5 hours/day, 180 days/year) at Kennewick School District’s Richland, WA location, with potential hour adjustments based on student/program needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have an AA degree OR 72 quarter college credits OR 48 semester college credits OR a passing score on the ETS test.
