Job Summary
Lead day-to-day site operations on civil and underground utility projects, supervising foremen, operators, labourers, subcontractors, and site personnel. Plan and coordinate crews, equipment, materials, and site logistics while overseeing the installation, repair, replacement, and upgrade of wet utilities including water mains, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer. Review drawings, specifications, grades, and elevations; monitor productivity, quality, schedule, and manpower requirements. Identify and resolve field issues and construction conflicts, maintaining daily reports and project documentation. Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and regulatory requirements. Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, consultants, inspectors, municipalities, and other stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and within established quality and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of civil construction experience
- significant underground utility experience
- Strong experience with wet utilities, including: Water main, Sanitary sewer, Storm sewer / stormwater, Underground utility installation
- Utility repairs, replacements, and upgrades
- Previous experience as a Site Superintendent, Civil Superintendent, General Superintendent, or Senior Foreman
- Strong understanding of civil construction, site logistics, drawings, specifications, grades, and elevations
- Valid driver's license
- ability to travel between projects throughout the Lower Mainland
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with municipal infrastructure, subdivisions, roadworks, or major civil projects
