Job Summary
Experienced Civil/Structural Inspector for Metro Rail depot facilities. Responsible for daily inspections of civil and structural works at Depot facilities, QA/QC, and compliance monitoring to ensure adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and international codes. Conduct inspections of foundations, superstructure, maintenance sheds, yards and structures; monitor depot-specific works (workshops, OCC buildings, drainage, utilities); verify materials and witness testing (concrete, steel, NDT); maintain inspection records, NCRs, and reports; coordinate with contractors, consultants, QA/QC and HSE teams; ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards; qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering, 10+ years total experience, 5+ years in Metro/Rail projects, and strong Metro depot facilities experience; desirable Dubai experience; knowledge of concrete and steel structures, depot infrastructure, QA/QC procedures and ITPs; strong attention to detail, communication, and reporting skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering
- 10+ years total experience
- Minimum 5 years in Metro/Rail projects
- StrongMetro experience ideally with Metro Depot facilities
- Experience across civil/structural and building works with background in MEP, roofing and cladding and finishes
- Demonstrated experience through all stages of similar projects including integration with rail systems
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of concrete and steel structures
- Understanding of depot infrastructure and construction methods
- Familiar with QA/QC procedures and ITPs
- Attention to detail
