Job Summary
Lead and supervise civil/structural engineering design for substations and transmission line projects, overseeing a team of civil engineers and technicians. Manage project schedules, design coordination, and quality control; conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with codes and standards; mentor and develop engineering staff; maintain design standards and training guidelines; coordinate between design teams and other departments; respond to technical questions from field personnel, construction managers, and customers; support customer satisfaction initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvement; travel to customer offices and project sites for meetings and construction support; participate in recruiting, hiring, and performance management of engineering staff; may require overnight travel and field presence; hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a PE license; proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong communication skills and experience leading engineering teams in power delivery or utility settings.
Required Qualifications
