Job Summary
Design and analyze civil/structural systems for NASA Johnson Space Center on-site as a contractor; perform structural analyses, develop documentation and drawings for building facilities, ensure structural integrity, and apply design standards (AISC/ACI, D1.1). Utilize software such as RISA-3D, ENERCALC, AutoCAD, MicroStation, REVIT, and MathCAD; engage in layout, detail, assembly and installation drawings for components and subcomponents; require a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering with 5+ years of experience; PE license preferred; US citizenship required; Texas driver’s license; ability to pass background and drug tests.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural Engineering
- At least 5 years of structural engineering experience; working with existing facilities and infrastructures is a plus
- PE License Preferred
- Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge
- Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written
- Must have, and maintain, a valid Texas driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment background check and drug screen
