Civil/Structural Engineer in Defence Infrastructure, focusing on nuclear defence projects with complex dynamic loading, seismic, blast, and interaction effects. Hybrid working options available across multiple UK locations, with mentorship and leadership responsibilities for junior engineers, and opportunities to contribute to bids, client relations, and project delivery while maintaining SC clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited MEng degree in Civil Engineering or similar
- Good all-round technical design expertise using British and international standards and/or Eurocodes
- Proven ability to manage projects and deliverables, including quality, budget, programme and resources
- Strong understanding of structural theory with proven problem solving ability
- Proven experience in preparation of bids and proposals and developing good working relationships with clients
- Eligibility to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance (UK national)
- Proven ability to work within safety and quality management systems and adhere to client and company procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers
- Experience with bids and proposals and client relationship management
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with flexibility in location and hours
- Willingness to travel for site visits as required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
