Job Summary
Prepare complete design packages, including preliminary, conceptual, and construction deliverables, alongside engineering calculations and detailed drawings of parts and assemblies. Interpret directions to initiate preliminary designs, perform sizing and load calculations for foundations and beams, and check sketches for project applicability and optimal construction. Verify accuracy of drawings prepared by others, prepare bills of material, and implement revisions per company standards. Utilize 2D or 3D CAD software to create layouts, fabrication, and assembly drawings, while developing technical specifications for procurement and installation. Confirm code compliance, equipment compatibility, and cost savings, and assist with field surveys and proposal compilation. Maintain proper file management, track project schedules and budgets, and ensure all work adheres to company and industry HSSE standards.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 10+ years of technical work experience in the Civil/Structural field in the petrochemical industry
- High School education (or equivalent), with additional basic drafting courses training from a vocational-technical school or other applicable program
- As an alternative, a minimum of two (2) years of education in an associate or bachelor's degree program at a university or community college for civil/structural discipline
