Job Summary
Civil Space Sales Manager responsible for shaping and capturing USG civil space business opportunities, engaging NASA/NOAA/national laboratories and other civil space organizations, developing materials and responses to information requests, and leading proposal activities (capture manager, proposal manager, or volume lead). Role involves interaction with government program managers and Astranis leadership, supporting broader USG sales teams, identifying civil-space decision-makers, developing Astranis positions on civil-space issues, and tracking programs (budget, Congressional actions) with government-relations support. Requires a B.S./B.A. in engineering, 5+ years in engineering/program management/corporate strategy/USG sales, travel up to 40%, and strong written/oral communication; citizenship or green-card status is required. Bonus qualifications include additional engineering/business degrees, broader experience in satellites/space systems, and TS/SCI clearance eligibility. Base salary range listed: $115,000–$185,000.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. or B.A. in engineering or hard science
- At least 5 years of experience in engineering, program management, corporate strategy, or USG sales/business development
- Working knowledge of US civil space community, commercial space industry, associated organizations and on-going programs
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed, up to 40% of time
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- US Citizenship or Green Card Holder
