Job Summary
Lead the design, development, and review of stormwater management systems for municipal, commercial, and land development projects. Develop site grading, drainage, and storm sewer designs while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction. Manage stormwater permitting efforts and coordinate with local, state, and regulatory agencies throughout the approval process. Prepare construction drawings, technical reports, calculations, and supporting documentation for stormwater and site development projects. Conduct field investigations and site evaluations to assess existing drainage conditions and support project design development. Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance throughout project development and execution. Apply sound engineering judgment to solve complex stormwater and drainage challenges while delivering practical, cost-effective solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in stormwater engineering, site grading, and drainage design
- Strong experience with stormwater management design and permitting processes
- Professional Engineering Designation (P.E.) in Pennsylvania
- Experience preparing hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and developing stormwater management solutions for a variety of project types
- Ability to understand the technical and regulatory aspects of stormwater permitting, MS4 programs, and land development requirements
