Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and direct complex civil engineering projects while managing technical accuracy, schedules, budgets, and contract administration. Lead technical projects from start to finish, solve complex problems using advanced techniques, and prepare proposals with direct follow-through. Manage client and contractor relationships, develop staff engineers, and identify business development opportunities to ensure project profitability. Work both in the office and field environments, including construction sites and difficult terrain, requiring physical capability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform tasks in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a degree in Civil Engineering
- Must have 8+ years of relevant progressive experience
- Must possess a valid driver's license, ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Must possess advanced reading, writing and math skills
- Must be comfortable communicating with the public
- Must possess intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs, and the ability to learn company / client software
- Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments
- Must have the ability to see and smell; including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus
- As a condition of employment, candidates are required to take and pass a pre-employment drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- Currently holds a P.E.
- Can successfully manage a Civil Engineering project from start to finish
- Is proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D Plus
- Has experience in Business Development and Client Management
- Professional Engineer's License is preferred
