Job Summary
Monitor the EPC contractor's civil work for compliance with contractual requirements, permits, and laws while performing random quality inspections and QA/QC monitoring. Conduct daily interactions with superintendents to verify field information on progress, adherence to engineering plans, and quality control fulfillment. Address construction technical issues, review contractor performance, and perform field engineering to evaluate execution alternatives. Attend daily POD and project review meetings, support owner's project management activities, and witness civil-related testing to verify results against acceptability criteria. Collect, verify, and document all QAQC reports, monitor completion of punch list items, and communicate with off-site engineering teams for specialized resolution actions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of Civil construction aspects, topographic survey, grading, drainage, foundations, etc.
- Minimum of 5 years of solar-related experience
- Minimum of 3 years of construction experience in large renewable energy projects
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be a good communicator and team player
- Must demonstrate ability to provide excellent client service
- Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier
