Job Summary
Manage design and delivery of projects in a profitable manner while overseeing technical aspects and supervising engineers. Develop work plans, budget projections, and milestones to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, then complete monthly accounting and invoicing. Coordinate schedules for multiple concurrent projects, interpret business metrics, and implement QA/QC procedures. Resolve design conflicts, represent the firm in meetings with governmental agencies, and lead business development activities including proposal writing and contract negotiations. This role requires a PE license in WI, 8+ years of roadway design experience, and extensive knowledge of the full project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of roadway design, DOT, and project management experience supporting design projects
- BS in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in WI (or capable of obtaining within 6 months)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in design
- This position may require travel to project sites and other Westwood offices throughout the United States

- Track record of successfully winning and delivering projects
- Experience in accounts receivable, invoicing, and overall duties involved in managing a design team
- Experience preparing proposals, scopes of work and qualification packages
- Experience developing and implementing marketing pursuit strategies
- Ability to develop relationships with peers, clients, and public agency staff
- Ability to coach and motivate others
